SPEILL BERG (Martipants) REMIX

As you may remember BB is going under the name Speill Berg to make his own music and remix others. He did this remix AGES ago but never got around to posting it. He got asked to remix Martipants' track 'Dark Dark House' from his 2nd album 'Good Lads' (which you can buy from his myspace). The original track is on his myspace too.

I Rescued it at the tip. A man was gonna chuck it. It sounds 'orrible, that's why i love it! I've started to decorate it already. I cut my hand at the tip and wrote SB in blood on it. The long awaited 'Crumbola' will be written on this..

After the cup final we headed down the hill with our crate of booze and set up shop..in 'The Shop' (the venue, it's called The Shop, it's actually a shop, a shop selling..ermm..what was it selling? i can't remember? Old clothes i think). Dale French was ill so no Gorlkeepers, just the Gaz Love solo experience. But didn't he do well!? Yes very good indeed. I helped out by making little sounds on 'Copybook' & 'Germs Stand Up'. I can't remember all the setlist? I think it was (not in this order)..

What's The Ugliest Part Of Your Body?

The Welcome Committee which is Mr Atkins (of Carrie Vanilow..my new band..that havn't done anything yet) was also splendid! I joined in by woooping/yelling during the Carrie Vanilow song 'Rooftops'. Shanks Pony (Mr Ashley) and Poppy were also in good form. We all had fun! Yes i'd like to see another night put on there sometime. The rest of the night is a bit of a blur. Ended up at a house party eating cous cous.

Yes it's true, after months away (last OLO podcast was in January!!? That's embarrassing!) OLO Radio will be making a comeback very soon!! We have a new theme tune, jingles and we've got a few guest mixes lined up too.

We have history. The station has be running since 2005 when we used to produce live shows. In Oct 2006 we produced our first podcast. We've been going (pretty regularly) since then.

To wet your appetite let us just remind you what OLO Radio sounds like. If you've never listened before, a good place to start would be the series of 'Under The Influence' podcasts we made back this time last year..

THE OLO APPRENTICE

You'd thought the show had finished..well...

After the 2009 Apprentice series had ended, the BBC commissioned a one-off OLO Apprentice special. In this episode OLO Worms try to explain to Sir Alan what they've been up to recently and reasons behind their lack of productivity so far this year. Sir Alan then sets the band the task of recording a new OLO Radio theme tune. Will the Worms' huge ego's get bruised in the boardroom battle or is Sir Alan Sugar really a big pussy cat?

This was to be our last gig for some time. In some of the OLO minds the gig was already over before it had begun. I enjoyed our set, i felt looser (strange considering i had big clunky dessert boots on?) and rather cheeky!! We played pretty much the same set as we have the last few gigs but with an added intro which at the moment is called 'Paths'. Not much more to say really. Bit of a poor turn out, wrong venue for it i guess. Wrong time too coming just off the back of the Homegame and feeling like that was the end of the series, series 2 btw (as i pointed out on stage). This was the official end of series 2.

I'm a fan of The Phantom Band so i enjoyed them..can't say the same for the other band (sorry).

PICTISH TRAIL FERRY STATION GIG

All aboard! Rozi Plain organised this nice little gig on the Ferry Station boat. We enjoyed great sounds from Viking Moses and Golden Ghost. Pictish Trail was wonderful as ever, BB even got to join him on whistling duty for a Lone Pigeon cover. Two girls left at the end of the song..ha! He really can't whistle.
